Kitchen Sink culminates a semester-long investigation of artistic research from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, School of Art class, Sophomore Research Studio. Showcasing works from sixteen students, this show is the product of the personal, intangible, concrete, absurd, obsessive, torturous, ethereal, esoteric, euphoric, dramatic, mature, naïve, magical, universal, mundane, and complex ways that artistic research manifests. As each student in this group has carved their own path through the mysterious wilderness of creation, this work is an exploration of the artist’s will, mind, imagination, and potential.
