RESIDENCY THEME
Chromatic Spaces: Exploring the Intersection of Color, Architecture, and Community

RESIDENCY DESCRIPTION
The Contemporary Arts Center’s Artist in Residence program invites artists to explore the dynamic relationship between architecture, color, and community engagement. This residency, titled Chromatic Spaces, focuses on fostering connections between the built environment and the human experience.

Drawing on a background in painting and architecture, the artist will engage residents and visitors in collaborative explorations of color theory, materiality, and light as they intersect with the unique architecture of the CAC building. Through workshops, participatory installations, and guided observations, the residency aims to deepen understanding of how environmental factors influence our emotional and physical interactions with space.

This program welcomes a community-focused approach, encouraging dialogue across generations and skill levels to highlight the transformative power of shared creative practices. Chromatic Spaces promises to leave a lasting imprint on participants and the CAC by uniting aesthetic inquiry with community-driven action.
