Join us for the opening celebration of What We Don't Say, a Teen Art Show in the CAC's sixth floor Community Gallery. The CAC’s Teen Council invited young adults, ages 13-19 to submit original 2D and 3D artwork for this collaborative exhibition of local artists.
What We Don’t Say reflects on the things that are often hidden beneath the surface. In a time when so many trivial details are documented and shared, sometimes the feelings and moments that truly matter get lost. This show takes the time to examine the emotions that are buried in the clutter. Inviting young adults to create and submit artwork that records and highlights their own invisible moments.
Contemporary Young Adults (C-YA) is a collective of 15 high school students who work within the CAC, providing insight on how to better engage the museum’s ever-growing teen audience.
The CAC's Teen Programs are made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Award Number MA-249792-OMS-21
