Event Details

Wounded Healers is a collaborative community exhibition between the Contemporary Arts Center and Zonta Club of Cincinnati. This exhibition will feature two-dimensional works that depict the personal and painful journey of physical, emotional, and spiritual abuse leading to healing, hope, and wholeness.

Featured works range from drawing, painting, photography, and print. Through this exhibit, the Zonta Club of Cincinnati hopes to empower artists from the Greater Cincinnati region to bring awareness to the lived experiences of those seeking a world where no woman lives in fear of violence.

The exhibition features artworks submitted by the public through an open call hosted by the CAC and Zonta Cincinnati. Local artists include Joshua C. August, Lauri Ann Aultman, Jennifer Baldwin, Kenniya Carter, FiggsTheArtist, GoreCat llustrations, Ash Kingsland, Radha Chandrashekaran, Madelyn McArthur, Maddy McFadden, Ichaya Mills, Jahsalyn Robinson, Ann Schlinkert, Jamie Schorsch, Cecelia Tio, and Mary Woodworth.

The exhibition is part of the Zonta Club of Cincinnati’s local participation in Zonta International’s “Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women - 16 Days of Activism” campaign. Launched in 2012, the campaign has raised awareness of the global pandemic of women’s rights violations and has united Zonta clubs worldwide in conducting impactful advocacy actions to fight violence against women and gender inequality. Each November, sixteen days are set aside to build awareness and advocate Just Say No to violence against women and girls.

Free and open to the public.
