Join the CAC for a special Young Adult Lab inspired by the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra’s upcoming Little Amal event. This drop-in teen program will explore how the art of puppetry can bring powerful stories to life. This week we’ll be working with local artists to design paper puppets inspired by our community. What makes your neighborhood feel like home? What does it mean to feel you belong? Artists and educators will be on hand to discuss and create together.
Little Amal has traveled across 13 countries and met over a million people. This fall she will journey 6,000 miles across the United States in one of the largest free public festivals ever created. Amal’s journey of art and hope celebrates the rich stories of refugees, immigrants, and displaced people, and the communities that welcome them. Everyone is welcome to walk with Amal.
Amal Walks Across America is produced by The Walk Productions in association with Handspring Puppet Company.
