Join us from 5-7pm for the opening celebration of Soft Steps by Anissa Pulcheon!
Over the summer, museum visitors joined Artist in Residence Anissa Pulcheon in making collaborative works of art exploring dreams—from the sleeping world to hopes and aspirations. The pieces created empowered contributors to share their dreams in a wide variety of ways: in secret, loudly on banners, by rearranging others words, experimenting with sound, carving abstract shapes, and more. Self-reflection, vulnerability, conversation, and humor tie this project together like a wish to a tree.
Anissa Pulcheon is an artist and organizer in Cincinnati, Ohio who works on large-scale public art and youth programming. She is dedicated to arts accessibility and the importance of community joy. In her painting, drawing, and fiber work, she searches for softness in chaos, reminders of resiliency, and weird, otherworldly forms.
