What is Critical Race Theory(CRT)? How does learning, or not learning, about it impact our students? How might an art classroom act as a catalyst for conversations surrounding racism?
Many artists in our new exhibition, The Regional, ask us to consider histories known and hidden, and the reasons why this is so. After we talk about these artists, Critical Race Scholar, Professor, and Diversity and Inclusion Consultant, Dr. David J Childs will share his knowledge and perspective; expanding what we think we know about CRT and its importance to our students now and in the future.
As with all Educator Workshops, participants will receive a certificate for professional development. This session is free to all educators.
To reserve your spot, email Sarah Rodriguez.
This session will be VIRTUAL.
