Spend the winter with visual artist and educator Sarah Rodriquez. The newest CAC Artist in Residence is an Ohio native who reflects on experiences of Midwestern landscapes to create colorful drawings, collages and sculptures. No medium is left unturned in Sarah’s work—she is a medium superstar!

Sarah earned a BFA from Wright State University in 2014 with a focus in painting and an MFA in painting from Miami University in 2017. She was a Dorothy and Bill Yeck Fellow in 2013 and an attendant of the Chautauqua School of Art Artist-in-Residence. She currently teaches visual art programs through the Carnegie for elementary school children. As the Artist in Residence from January to March, Sarah’s residency will include a collaborative, on-going installation that expresses our stories and memories of being outdoors. According to Sarah, “Memory is a capsule of our lives as they are altered, blurred and layered.”

The CAC's Teen Programs are made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Award Number MA-10-18-0118-18
