Fall brings the CAC’s newest Artist in Residence Simone Yael, a multi-disciplinary creative with roots in Chicago, St. Louis and now Cincinnati. Through her collective—Creator.Brand—Simone curates guerilla or “popup” fashion experiences as a way to bring awareness and resources to creative’s around the world around them.
Her experimental residency will include ventures in stage performance, film making, fashion, architectural design, poetry/spoken word, music and dance. As the Artist in Residence from Sept-Nov. Simone plans to find new ways to marry creative projects with Art-Entrepreneurship & community engagement. She is inspired by the deeply held belief, “We were all created to create- and we shouldn’t need to starve to be artists.”
