Where do artists find inspiration for their work? What if their ideas come from other artists? Join us as we explore the exhibition of British born artist Glenn Brown, whose paintings breathe new life into historical works of art, and sometime cause a bit of a stir.
Educators will receive a private tour of the exhibition, led by CAC educators, and take part in an interactive gallery game that can be easily adapted for the classroom. Following the tour we’ll discuss the use of appropriation throughout art history and compare it to current examples of plagiarism found in the fashion and music industry. Participants will also take part in a hands-on art making project, led by a local artist.
Dinner and wine will be provided from 5:00-5:30, educators are welcome to use this time for networking.
