After the Moment: Curator's Talk

Experience the exhibition "After the Moment: Reflections on Robert Mapplethorpe" through the eyes of its participating artists. Artist and curator William Messer will introduce the group he commissioned for the show: Anita Douthat, Maurice Mattei, Tim Stegmaier, Joel Whitaker and Michael Wilson. Each of the artists will shed light into how they responded to the legacy of Robert Mapplethorpe in Cincinnati, and how they translated personal experiences and affiliations into the works on view. Messer has also organized the historical section of this exhibition and will speak to the selection of renowned artists Sally Mann, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Rosalind Fox Solomon and Joel-Peter Witkin.
