Antioch Faculty Exhibition

November 03 through November 26, 1972

Antioch Faculty Exhibition

artist(s)Jonathan Carr Ahearn, Allan Jones, James Jordan, John Ritterskamp, Paul Sharits, Karen Shirley, Jerome Sirlin, Carl Sparks

“The Center feels that showing the works of the Antioch faculty will not only reflect the diversity of contemporary art, but will also expose a greater segment of our population to the artistic resources of the group, located so near our community yet so far unintegrated into the structure of art in Cincinnati. We moved in the 20th century to an era when the geographic distinctions of art have been obliterated. Artists living in remote areas are no longer confined in their subject matter to pastoral themes any more than urban artists are expected to produce more cosmopolitan works. Thus, the artistic production at Yellow Springs is important in and of itself and concurrently as a part of the regional art of our area” (CAC Exhibition Brochure October, 1972).
