Join us every Thursday in the CAC Creativity Center for Young Adult Lab, a free drop-in art making program for young adults!
This week, we'll be continuing our journey with art therapy by welcoming artist and facilitator Dani Clark to guide us in a soul collage!
Soul Collage practice involves taking images from tearings, clippings, old magazines, etc. and combining them to create a new image. The process prioritizes intuition over style--where collages become entities of their own and often contain message(s) for the maker. Guest facilitator, Dani Clark, will guide participants through somatic experiencing techniques and a reflective writing exercise designed to amplify intuitive response and self-awareness.
Supplies and snacks will be provided by the CAC. Artists and educators will be on hand for assistance!
Young Adult Lab is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, The Johnson Foundation, and Arts Midwest.
