Join us every Thursday in the CAC Creativity Center for Young Adult Lab, a free drop-in art making program for young adults!
This week, we'll be continuing our journey with art therapy by welcoming artist and facilitator Dani Clark to guide us through a simple exercise in response to our current exhibitions!
Drawing on physician and writer Rita Charon’s principles of Narrative Medicine, participants will practice close observation and body awareness techniques prior to walking through the current exhibitions. After this embodied exploration of the featured artworks, participants will be led by guest facilitator, Dani Clark, through a reflective writing experience. Together, participants will use paper shapes and writing utensils to craft narrative responses.
Supplies and snacks will be provided by the CAC. Artists and educators will be on hand for assistance!
Young Adult Lab is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, The Johnson Foundation, and Arts Midwest.
