Explore new forms of storytelling within the medium of interactive fiction in this six week long game jam. Come in small groups with an idea for a 15-20 minute long visual novel of any genre and learn the basics of Ren'py, a popular visual novel creation engine.
Our winter Co-LAB is designed by artist Nukes de Almeida Nuku-Graves, an American-born Brazilian-Ghanaian digital artist and video game developer. Nukes explores diverse relationships, the idyllic Midwestern mundane, and accessible play through video games. They're the creator of Cryptid Coffeehouse, a Mothman dating simulator, and Kurou Connect, an enemies-to-lovers visual novel. Nukes has been featured in Cincy Inno's Inno Under 25 and DAAP's Featured New Graduates of 2024, and was awarded the SEGD DAAP Honorable Mention Award for their thesis game, Kurou Connect.
This Co-lab is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
This program meets every Friday for six weeks starting January 9, 2026 from 5-7pm
