Whited Sepulchre Records is proud to present the second annual Talk Low Music Festival happening in late September in Cincinnati, OH. Talk Low brings three days of experimental music from around the world to its new home at Contemporary Arts Center and Memorial Hall. Talk Low is organized by the Cincinnati based record label Whited Sepulchre Records founder and Executive Director Ryan Hall, Britni Bicknaver and concertnova Executive Director Brianna Matzke.

Continuing the tradition of festivals like MusicNow and No Response Festival, Talk Low Music Festival aims to make Cincinnati a destination for world-class musicians claiming space between multiple disciplines, genres and identities. Talk Low seeks to create unique contexts that foster deep listening and opportunities for collaboration and education.

Started as outgrowth of the Cincinnati based Whited Sepulchre Records, Talk Low Music Festival grew to a four day event in 2024 bringing in artists such as New Age legend Laraaji, Peruvian sound artist Maria Chavez, bassoonist Joy Guidry and Kenyan electronic artist KMRU. Slated to make its triumphant return in 2025, Talk Low continues to grow into its own through adding placemaking collaborations throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, educational workshops from established artists and educators and a line-up of artists at the pinnacle of their craft.

The lineup for Talk Low Music Festival features LA experimental-rap group clipping. Featuring stage and film star Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, clipping), Moor Mother, 2022 Pulitzer Prize winner Raven Chacon, pianist Kelly Moran, Cairo-based experimental electronic Nadah El Shazly, White Boy Scream, Cole Pulice, organist Sarah Davachi, JJJJerome Ellis and a special collaborative performance between Yoni Wolf and concertnova.

Talk Low seeks to carry the torch that past music festivals like MusicNow and No Response lit by making Cincinnati a destination city for inspiring and world-class experimental music with goals to rival festival like Big Ears in Knoxville, TN or Time:Spans in NYC and to contribute positively to the city’s cultural fabric and economic development.
