Join us every Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm. In this workshop, we’ll be going over how to collage various types of fabrics into an art piece. By having pattern, color, and texture variations of fabrics as well as buttons, ribbons, stamps and beads to add details to the work itself. Hopefully this workshop will explore a new media of how to create art or small crafts by using textiles in this aspect!
Based in Cincinnati, Iliana Soria is an upcycled textile artist who also combines mixed media within her art. Her mission is to reduce textile waste by using only thrifted fabric materials and showcasing the various uses of textiles in multiple media and uses to others. In 2024 she graduated from Miami University with an associate's degree in business, and with that degree she hopes to use that knowledge to build her art career.
Artists and educators on hand to assist. Supplies and snacks will be provided by the CAC.
