The CAC’s Teen Council invites young adults, ages 13-19 to submit original 2D and 3D artwork for a collaborative exhibition in the museum’s Community Gallery.
As teens age out of childhood and begin taking steps toward adulthood, it can be hard to find their place. Finding Your Place will feature work that celebrates, laments, and expresses all the feelings that fall in between when trying to figure out who you are.
Work will be submitted digitally first by January 13, 2025. Artists will be notified if their work is accepted by January 27. Accepted work will be dropped off in-person Jan 30 - February 2. The opening celebration will take place on February 22 from 1-3pm. 2-D work can be printed by the CAC if requested. Finding Your Place is a show curated by teens and featuring work made by young adults. You must be ages 13-19 to submit a work.
Contemporary Young Adults (C-YA) is a collective of 16 high school students who work within the CAC, providing insight on how to better engage the museum’s ever-growing teen audience.
