The Contemporary Arts Center is a site of immense artistic talent and impressive creativity, not only in its exhibitions and programming but in its staff as well. We are excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Zaha Hadid-designed Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art by presenting an exhibition highlighting the diverse range of artistic talent of our staff, past and present, since the building's opening in 2003.
We invite all current and former part-time and full-time employees who worked or currently work in the building at 6th and Walnut to submit artwork to the open call for the CAC Staff Art Show. Submissions will be reviewed and selected by the Curatorial team. The exhibition will be displayed on the upper and lower galleries on the second floor.
ART EXHIBITION SUBMISSIONS
- Please submit all information on this form in the appropriate areas.
- Include 1 image per artwork, with file names as follows: LastNameFirstName_ArtworkTitle.
- Maximum number of artwork submissions per artist is 3. Only 1 artwork per artist will be selected for the exhibition.
- The CAC reserves the right to decide which pieces will and will not be exhibited.
- Submission Deadline: January 15, 2024.
- You will be notified of your submission status by March 1, 2024.
GUIDELINES
- The CAC will not commission new work. Artists are welcome to submit sketches or descriptions of new work(s), but the CAC will not compensate for the creation of new work.
- Artwork must be install-ready. The CAC will not be responsible for framing artwork or adding installation hardware.
- Artwork must be delivered to the CAC by the week of April 22-26, 2024, ready to hang or install.
- Artists must provide any and all equipment necessary for their artwork.
- Please refer to the exhibition dates and only submit artwork that can be exhibited during the full of run of the show.
- All artists selected will be paid an exhibition/performance fee.
If you are a performance artist, please complete the performance submission form. On July 20, 2024, the CAC will host a “Hidden Talents” Performance Night, where performance artists will be able to share their talent live. Each artist will be allotted between 10-15 minutes for their performance, depending on the number of total performances.
