The perfect kiss (QQ)* is a curatorial and creative undertaking for artist and curator Matt Morris, who will develop an arrangement of works by Byars in conjunction with a number of his own interventions. The exhibition’s title references a 1974 artwork by Byars while also seeking to rekindle the unexpected romance and delicacy within Robert Mapplethorpe’s 1990 exhibition The Perfect Moment.

The Vesper Project is a massive, multi-part installation in which paintings are woven into the walls of a 19th century American house. It is the culmination of a five-year engagement with the lost storylines of the Vespers, a 19th century family who “passed” as a white family in New England even as their mixed heritage made them “Negro” in the eyes of the law.

POEMS WHILE YOU WAIT, CINCINNATI (which is based on Poems While You Wait, Chicago) was started in 2013 by poet, former 50 Shoes vocalist, and Art Academy of Cincinnati Professor Matt Hart to help raise money for the AAC's Creative Writing program. The group (including Hart, AAC Creative Writing students, alumni, and various special guests) unpacks its old school Remingtons, Coronas, Underwoods, and Olympias, and types poems while you wait on topics of your choice, usually in fifteen minutes or less. When each poem is finished, it's photographed for the PWYW archive and read aloud on the spot for the person who requested it.
