Biography
Architect, artist, and designer Zaha Hadid was born in 1950 in Baghdad, Iraq. She attended the American University of Beirut and the Architectural Association School of Architecture. Notable buildings include the Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2003); Guangzhou Opera House, Guangzhou, China (2010); Riverside Museum, Glasgow, Scotland (2011); Broad Art Museum, East Lansing, MI (2012); and Heydar Aliyev Center, Baku, Azerbaijan (2013). Hadid died in 2016 in Miami, FL.
