Artist Details
Sculptor Yaacov Agam was born in 1928 in Rishon LeTyiyon, Israel. He graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in 1948 in Jerusalem, Israel. He has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at the Musée National d’Art Moderne, Paris, France (1972); Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (1973); The Jewish Museum, New York, NY (1975); Isetan Museum, Tokyo, Japan (1989); and Composition Gallery, Tbilisi, Georgia (2023). Agam has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Fatamorgana, Illusion and Deception in Contemporary Art, Haifa Museum of Art, Haifa, Israel (2006) and Art in Motion, Ai Bo Gallery, Harrison, NY (2020).
