Artist Details
Walton Ford was born in 1960 in Larchmont, NY. He received a BFA in 1982 from Rhode Island School of Design. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at the Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1993); Bowdin College Museum of Art, Brunswick, ME (2000); Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebaek, Denmark; Hamburger Bahnhof Museum fur Gegenwart, Berlin, Germany; Albertina, Vienna, Austria (2010); and Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Paris, France (2015). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including A Sense of Place, Montgomery Museum of Fine Art, Montgomery, AL (1990); Deja Vu: Reworking the Past, Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah, New York, NY (2000); Winged Shadows: Life Among Birds, North Dakota Museum of Art, Grand Forks, ND (2011); and Symbiosis, Berkshire Botanical Garden, Stockbridge, MA (2022). Ford currently lives and works in New York, NY.
