Vieira da Silva was born in 1908 in Lisbon, Portugal. She studied at the Academia de Belas-Artes in Lisbon, Portugal. She was featured in Exhibition by 31 Women, Art of This Century Gallery, New York, NY (1943). Her work can be found in several public collections, including at the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, Paris, France; National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY; and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA. da Silva died in 1992 in Paris, France.
