Multidisciplinary artist Value Export was born in 1940 in Linz, Austria. She has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (1980); Museum Moderner Kunst, Vienna, Austria (1990); Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg, Germany (2001); and Jüdisches Museum, Wien, Austria (2012). Export has also participated in several group exhibitions, including Flash Art Exhibition, Kölnischer Kunstverein, Cologne, Germany (1974); Open Systems: Art in the World, c. 1970, Tate Modern, London, UK (2005); Simultan, Fotomuseum Winterthur, Winterthur, Switzerland (2006); The Art of Participation: 1950 to Now, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA (2008); and XL: 19 New Acquisitions in Photography, Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (2013).
