Trisha Donnelly was born in 1974 in San Francisco, CA. She received her BFA in 1995 from University of California in Los Angeles, CA and her MFA in 2000 from Yale University in New Haven, CT. Donnelly has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France (2003); Center for Contemporary Art, Kitakyushu, Japan (2010); San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA (2013); and Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Germany (2017). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including The Dedalic Convention, Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna, Austria (2001); The World as a Stage, Tate Modern, London, UK (2007); Less Than One, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN (2016); and A Decade of Acquisitions of Works on Paper, Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, CA (2022). Donnelly currently lives and works in New York, NY.
