Artist Details
Artist, animator, and filmmaker Tim Burton was born in 1958 in Burbank, CA. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita, CA. He is known for his films, which include Beetlejuice (1988), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993); Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005); and Alice in Wonderland (2010). Burton's work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (2009-10); Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA (2011); Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul, South Korea (2012-13); and The Neon Museum, Los Vegas, NV (2019).
