Artist Details
Taro Chiezo was born in 1962 in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated in 1984 from New York University in New York, NY. He has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at Amoras Project, Fuchu Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan; Sinkyone Art Space, Osaka, Japan (both 2002); and Tokyo Wander Site Hongo, Tokyo, Japan (2008). He has also participated in many group exhibitions, including The Return of the Cadavre Exquis, Drawing Center, New York, NY (1993); Presumed Innocence, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1998); TARO VS TARO, Okamoto Taro Museum, Kanagawa, Japan (2009); and The Childhood, The Tokushima Art Museum, Tokushima, Japan (2021). Chiezo currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
