Folk artist Steve Ashby was born in 1904 in Delaplane, VA. His work can be found in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Institute, Washington, DC; American Folk Art Museum, New York, NY; and Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY. Ashby died in 1980.
