Conceptual artist Stanley Brouwn was born in 1935 in Paramaribo, Suriname. His work can be found in many public collections, including at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN; Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA; and Arena for Contemporary African, African-American and Caribbean Art, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Brouwn died in 2017 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
