Satch Hoyt was born in 1957 in London, UK. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at St. Pauls Cathedral, London, UK (2007); Museo Tertulia, Cali, Colombia (2017); and Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin, Germany (2019). He has participated in many group exhibitions, including Body Power/Power Play, Württembergischer Kunstverein, Stuttgart, Germany (2002); The Whole World is Rotten, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2006); The Beautiful Game, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA (2014); The World’s Game: Fútbol and Contemporary Art, Pérez Art Museum, Miami, FL (2018); and Get Up, Stand Up Now - Generations of Black Creative Pioneers, Somerset House, London, UK (2019). Hoyt currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
