Ronnie Bass was born in 1976 in Hurst, Texas. He received his BFA in 2003 from University of North Texas in Denton, TX and his MFA in 2006 from Columbia University in New York, NY. Bass has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including The Astronomer, Part 1: Departure From Shed, Marginal Utility, Philadelphia, PA (2009 and 2012). He has also participated in several group exhibitions, including Greater New York, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Long Island City, NY (2005); Ei Arakawa; Untitled Rehearsals and Performances, The New Museum, New York, NY (2008); and What is the Political, Museums of Bat Yam, Bat Yam, Israel (2011). Bass currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
