Photographer Roe Etheridge was born in 1969 in Miami, FL. He received his BFA in Photography from 1995 from The College of Art in Atlanta, GA. Etheridge has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, MA (2005); Le Consortium, Dijon, France; Museum Leuven, Leuven, Belgium (2012); and Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2016). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including The Atlanta College of Arts vs. Savannah College of Art and Design, Image Film and Video Center, Atlanta, GA (1991); Hello My Name Is..., Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA (2002); Reconstructions: Recent Photographs and Video from the Met Collection, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY (2015); and New Visions: The Henie Onstad Triennial for Photography and New Media, Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Høvikodden, Norway (2020). Etheridge currently lives and works in New York, NY.
