Biography

Painter Richard Hamilton was born in 1922 in London, UK. He attended the Royal Academy of Arts and Slade School of Art. He has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY (1973); Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Germany (2003); Tate Modern, London, UK (2014). Hamilton died in 2011 in Northend, UK.
