Richard Aldrich was born in 1975 in Hampton, VA. He received his BFA from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH in 1998. Aldrich has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including Paintings, Roger Björkholmen Gallery, Stockholm, Sweden (2007); New Work: Richard Aldrich, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA (2011); Fun House, dépendance, Brussels, Belgium (2017); and An Exploration of How Time Only Exists in Half Steps, Fondazione Giuliani, Rome, Italy (2022). He has also participated in various group exhibitions, including The Club in the Shadow, Kenny Schachter Gallery, New York, NY (2003); Beneath the Underdog, Gagosian Gallery, New York, NY (2007); Soundworks, Institute of Contemporary Art, London, United Kingdom (2012); and An Exhibition with Little Information, Museum of Contemporary Art Busan, Busan, South Korea (2022). Aldrich currently lives and works in New York, NY.
