Biography
Photographer Rachel Cox was born in 1984 in Irving, TX. She received her BFA from University of North Texas in Denton, TX and her MFA from University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Cox has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA (2014); The Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines, IA (2020); AND The Southeast Museum of Photography, Daytona, FL (2022). She has also participated in several group exhibitions, including TPS 16: The National Competition, Texas Photographic Society, San Antonio, TX (2007); Voyeurism & Intimacy: The Public/Private Divide, Rayko Photo Center, San Francisco, CA (2012); Big Picture, Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, Lubbock, TX (2018); and The Regional, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH; and Kemper Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO (2022). Cox currently lives and works in Iowa City, IA.
