Ima-Abasi Oko, known professionally as PressforPractice, was born in 1981.
Oko has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including Infinite Slippage: nonRepugnant Insolvencies T!-a!-r!-r!-y!-i!-n!-g! as Hand Claps of M’s Hard’Loved’Flesh [I’M irreducibly-undone because] —Quantum Leanage-Complex-Dub, Chisenhale Gallery, London, UK (2019) and Spotlights, Tate Britain, London, UK (2021). She has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Arena, Center of Contemporary Art, Torun, Poland (2014); Changing City; Shifting Places, CCA Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria (2016); and Information (Today), Kunsthalle Basel, Basel, Switzerland (2021).
