Architect Piertro Belluschi was born in 1899 in Ancona, Italy. He received a degree in Civil Engineering in 1922 from University of Rome in Rome, Italy and a second degree in Civil Engineering in 1923 from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Belluschi was responsible for the design of many buildings, including Pacific Building, Portland, OR (1926); Equitable Building, Portland, OR (1948);Pan Am Building, New York, NY (1963); and US Bancorp Tower, Portland, OR (1983). Belluschi died in 1994 in Portland, OR.
