Pierre Dorion was born in 1959 in Ottawa, Canada. He received his BFA in 1981 from University of Ottawa. Dorion has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at Centre International d’Art Contemporain, Montréal, Canada (1994); Art Gallery of York University, Toronto, Canada (1995-96); and Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, Montréal, Canada (2010). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including The Allegorical Image in Recent Canadian Painting, Agnes Etherington Art Center, Kingston, Canada (1985); Les enjeux de la représentation, Musée du Québec, Québec, Canada (2002); Autour de l’abstraction II, Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Montréal, Canada (2013); and Architectural Intersections, Lehman College Art Gallery, Bronx, NY (2016). Dorion currently lives and works in Montréal, Canada.
