Philippe Barrière was born in 1950. He studied Architecture at Ecole des Beaux-Arts; MA in Urban Planning from Institut d'Urbanisme de Paris; and PhD in Art History from University Panthéon Sorbonne. Barriére died in 2021 in Tunisia.
