Painter Perle Fine was born in 1905 in Boston, MA. He attended the Arts Students League in New York, NY. He has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at the M.H. de Young Memorial Museum, San Francisco, CA (1947); and Guild Hall Museum, East Hampton, NY (1978). He has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Art of this Century, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY (1945); American Painting Today 1950, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY (1950); New York-Provincetown: A 50's Connection, Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Provincetown, MA (1994); and From Berlin to New York: Karl Nierendorf and the Guggenheim, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY (2008). Fine died in 1988 in East Hampton, NY.
