Paul Feeley was born in 1910 in Des Moines, IA. He has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Stanford Research Institute, Menlo Park, CA (1950); Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY (1968); Bennington Museum, Bennington, VA (2008); and Waddington Custot, London, UK (2021). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including New England Painting and Sculpture, 1949, Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, MA (1949); 64th American Exhibition: Paintings, Sculpture, Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL (1961); Made in the Sixties: Painting and Sculpture from the Permanent Collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY (1988); Color Fields, Deutsche Guggenheim, Berlin, Germany (2010-11); and Contemporary Highlights: Abstraction and Form, Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford, CT (2014).
