Artist Details

Biography

Patricia Cronin was born in 1963 in Beverly, MA. She received a BFA in 1986 from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI and an MFA in 1988 from The City University of New York in Brooklyn, NY. Cronin has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including at University at Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY (2009-10); Newcomb Art Museum, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA (2012); The Armory Show, New York, NY (2017); and Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa, FL (2018-19). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including The Return of the Cadavre Exquis, The Drawing Center, New York, NY (1993); Open House: Cincinnati Collects, Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati, OH (2007); Expanded Visions: Fifty Years of Collecting, Leslie-Lohman Museum, New York, NY (2017); and Mary Magdalene, Catharijneconvent Museum, Utrecht, The Netherlands (2021). Cronin currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
