Painter Oscar Bluemner was born in 1867 in Prenzlau, Germany. He studied Painting and Architecture at the Royal School of Art in Berlin, Germany. Bluemner's work can be found in the public collections of various institutions, including the Whitney Museum, New York, NY; the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY; and The National Gallery, Washington, DC. Bluemner died in 1938 in Braintree, MA.
