Artist Details
Olivier Debré was born in 1920 in Paris, France. He has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at Musée des Beaux-Arts, Le Havre, France (1966); Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum, Copenhagen, Denmark (1978); Museum of History, Beijing, China (1998); National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Algiers, Algeria (2010); and Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art, London, UK (2022). He has also participated in several group exhibitions, including Peinture, Peinture, Maison de la Culture, Bourges, France (1984); La Dimension du Corps 1920-1980, National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, Japan; National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, Japan (1993); Parole and Figure, Museo Villa dei Cedri, Bellinzona, Switzerland (2011); and Déborder la Toile, Centre de Création Contemporaine Olivier Debré, Tours, France (2022). Debré died in 1999 in Paris, France.
