Biography

Noel Anderson was born in Louisville, KY. He received an MFA in 2007 in Printmaking from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and an MFA in 2010 in Sculpture from Yale University in New Haven, CT. Anderson has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including Turn that Cakewalkin ’Music Off, Fuller Project Space, Bloomington, IN (2005); You’re Never too Old for Kool-Aid: reverb, Green Gallery at Yale University New Haven, CT (2010); Fear of the Black Member, Semantics Gallery, Cincinnati, OH (2012); and Untitled, Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery, Luxembourg City, Luxembourgh (2021). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Poetic Fusion, Martin Luther King Arts Center, Columbus, OH (2004); Harlem Postcards, The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York, NY (2011); and Blak Origin Moment, Hunter Museum of Art, Chattanooga, TN (2019). Anderson currently lives and works in New York, NY.
