Artist Details
Myra Mimlitsch-Gray was born in 1962 in Camden, NJ. She received a BFA in 1984 from Philadelphia College of Art and an MFA in 1986 from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at the John Michael Kohler Art Center, Sheboygan, WI (2005); Metal Museum, Memphis, TN (2014); and Dorsky Museum of Art, New Paltz, NY (2016). She has also participated in many group exhibitions, including Twenty-first Century Heirlooms,Racine Art Museum, Racine, WI (2013); Unique by Design: Contemporary Jewelry in the Schneier Collection, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY (2014); 45 Stories: 1947 to Now, Museum of Arts and Design, New York, NY (2020-21); and Crafting America, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, AR (2021).
