"born in Philadelphia, 1918. Attended the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Art during the evenings and acquired practical experience as layout man and lettering designer. Went to France in 1935, where he worked as art director in Paris until 1938 when he returned to the United States. He is now a free lance, devoting himself to symbolic advertising design and abstract and non-objective painting. His work has been exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art in New York" (Modern Art in Advertising).
