Matthew Angelo Harrison was born in 1989 in Detroit, MI. He received his BFA in 2012 from School of the Art Institute in Chicago, IL. Harrison has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including Detroit City/Detroit Affinities, Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Detroit, MI (2016); Field Station: Matthew Angelo Harrison, Broad Art Museum, East Lansing, MI (2018); Proto, Kunsthalle Basel, Basel, Switzerland (2021); and Dark Silhouettes, The Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA (2022). He currently lives and works in Detroit, MI.
