Martha Atienza

Biography

Martha Atienza was born in 1981 in Bantayan, Philippines. She received a Bachelor degree in 2006 in Mixed Media and Media Art from Aki Academy of Visual Arts and Design in Enschede, The Netherlands. Atienza has been the subject of several solo exhibitions, including Passage, Het Torentje, Almelo, The Netherlands (2006); Martha Atienza, Mind Set Art Center, Taipei, Taiwan (2017); and The Protectors, Silverlens, New York, NY (2022). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Dial, Cultural Center Of The Philippines, Manila, Philippines (2009); Sights and Sounds: Philippines, The Jewish Museum, New York, NY (2015); Far Away But Strangely Familiar, Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, Bratislava, Slovakia (2019); and Tributaries, The Line, London, UK (2023). Atienza currently lives and works in Bantayan, Philippines.
